Genevieve Ingraldi
MA, PLPC, RN
Sharing your story, particularly the vulnerable parts, can be challenging. Healing often begins with kindness, understanding, and connection. I provide a peaceful, positive, nonjudgmental space where you’ll be accepted and genuinely heard. Together, we can examine the patterns that keep you stuck, and work to foster meaningful change.
My areas of special focus include:
OCD: I’m a candidate for Certification in Exposure and Response Prevention; anticipated certification September 30, 2025. I also utilize I-CBT for OCD, and treat all OCD subtypes and presentations.
Couples Therapy: I use Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT)
Behavioral Addictions: I help clients break free from compulsive behaviors involving food, spending, gambling, love and infidelity, the internet, work, and exercise.
Mindset Shift: I help clients overcome other unwanted habits like procrastination, perfectionism, rumination, and resentment.
Chronic Pain: I use pain reprocessing therapy (PRT), to help clients understand and change the brain’s pain response.
Anxiety Disorders: I treat social and generalized anxiety, and phobias.
My work is present-focused, action-oriented, and grounded in cognitive behavioral and related therapies. My background as an RN enhances my work with clients, as I help foster a neurobiological, or brain-based, understanding of behaviors—because change begins with awareness. I help clients recognize unhelpful behavior patterns, set manageable goals, and build healthier long-term habits aligned with their values.
While it's helpful to understand how the past shapes us, I explore it mainly to guide how to move forward more effectively. I emphasize practical techniques that support lasting, purpose-driven change by helping clients shift from what feels good in the moment, to what truly serves them over time.
In my free time, I love volunteering to bring therapy dogs to visit nursing homes, hospice patients, and people with special needs. My husband Gus and I enjoy family, friends, food, and community. We attend St. Pius Church, and live in Lafayette with our beloved pups, Bitsy, Finn, and Ollie.
