Meet Elizabeth deVargas

Elizabeth deVargas

MS, PLPC

Hi! My name is Elizabeth deVargas. Are you ready to make individual, relationship, and/or family changes? Through the counseling process, I will provide an atmosphere of openness, trust, and support in which you may choose to examine and change patterns or behaviors that are currently not working for you. I believe that as people become personally responsible for their interactions and behavior, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment. Counseling is a collaborative process in which we will work together towards mutually agreed upon goals. Through the counseling relationship, I aim to help you navigate life’s many difficult and complex challenges!

My approach to counseling is integrative and dependent upon client needs. However, I primarily utilize a systemic, change-oriented approach when working with individuals, couples, and families. With children, I utilize various treatment approaches such as sandtray therapy, non directive, and directive play therapy techniques and interventions. I have experience working with children facing family issues, such as divorce or changes in family structure, OCD, anxiety, and self-esteem.

I am passionate about helping people make the changes they desire to live a fulfilling and meaningful life! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with you!
