Meet Genevieve Ingraldi
Genevieve Ingraldi
RN, BSN, Counseling Intern
Welcome to a peaceful, nonjudgmental space, where together we can help untangle the knots that trouble and hold you back. By exploring how your thoughts, feelings, behavior, and physiology interrelate, we can together create healthier ways of being and relating.
My background in nursing and Certification in Nutrition and Mental Health shape an integrative, whole-person counseling approach. I have additional training in OCD and related disorders (ICBT & ERP techniques), non-substance behavioral addictions, binge eating, couples counseling, and trauma.
I have special interest in the neurobiology of behavior, as well as in helping clients with OCD, and those wishing to break free from harmful, non-substance behavioral addictions. These include compulsive behaviors related to food, gambling, work, exercise, obsessional love (including in cases of marital infidelity), social media, online shopping, and gaming.
My strengths-based approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapies, including acceptance and commitment therapy, reality therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy. I incorporate existential concepts to help derive a sense of meaning and purpose amidst challenges and suffering, based on clients’ deeply held values.
In my free time, I love volunteering to bring therapy dogs to visit nursing homes, hospice patients, and people with special needs. My husband Gus and I enjoy family, friends, food, and community. We’re members of St. Pius Church, and live in Lafayette with our 3 beloved pups, Bitsy, Finn, and Ollie.
